I have a 10 year old daughter whos father has been incarcerated since she was 5 years old. We have been married since May 1997. I intend to be divorced within a year. He is being housed in Florida. His release date is March 2017. I would like to know who do I recieve child support for her from him? Hope that you can help me. Thanks

Who do you receive child support from? Or do you mean "how"? Under Florida law, he still owes child support even though he is in prison.

Of course, actually collecting the support is a problem, since I assume he has no money and won't for a while. Still, you have the right to sue for support and "receive" up to two years' back support. You can contact a lawyer or whatever agency handles child support enforcement in your state (Department of Revenue, if you live in Florida) for more information.
