Wanting to leave him just dont feel the connection.I dont have a job he asks for me to stay home to watch our daughter havent had a job though in 5 years. Im planning on getting one putting out applications soon. My question though is since we live together renting a house and i have no job no car(just the one he got me as a present but its under his name) am i going to be able to have shared custody of my daughter. I am willing to have shared custody but i dont think he will he will put up a fight. Im afaird of losing my little girl shes my life and i believe strongly she is a great girl from the way i have raised her. Im with her 24/7 and he works mon thru fri (7am-3pm) and im so afaird if i leave him since i dont have a job but i do have a place to go til i get one at my sisters house that he will get her. How do i go about doing this. I dont have money for a lawyer and he will get one. I am a great mother i love my little girl im just not in love with her father anymore i tryed to work things out but the love is just not there and i dont want to be unhappy my whole life that wil effect our daughter in the long run i want her to grow up with a good life and both parents happy. Please what do i do? Thanks Nikie

IA Petition to Establish Paternity, and for Other Related Relief needs to be pursued. Unless you have something horrible in your background, you should get to keep the child the vast majority of the time.

Until and unless the Court gives you permission to, don't relocate more then 50 miles from where you are now living.

He will likely have to pay child support.

In Florida, with family law cases, depending on the parties' comparative financial resources, the Courts have the discretion to hold one party responsible for all, or part, of the other's attorney fees and costs. In other words, if the other party has significantly stronger financial resources, do not assume that you will not be able to afford to retain an attorney.

What is his income?

An internet inquiry is no substitution for an in-office consultation with an attorney.

If your situation falls within the Greater Tampa Bay area, I would be happy to schedule you for a no obligation half hour office consultation. The main office is in Dunedin, with a satellite location in Tampa.

Feel free to Google me.
