You can certainly petition the co urt for a modification of alimony - I can't say that you will get it unless there has been some really substantial changes in your situation (not of your fault). With the economy today and all aware that financially everyone is being effective you have a good chance. The fact that the ex is better off than you is not one of the things you want to put in your petitioner. The finanical affidavit of bo th parties will point that out to the court.
