My 16 year old son went to live with his father 1 1/2 months ago, after he was served with child support papers. I am still pursuing back owed support. I have a hearing on 9/28, can the father now demand child support in the hearing, or does he need to file separately?

He is entitled to child support since the child is now in his care. However, this will not erase the arrearages that he owes you. He can bring this up in the child support hearing on the 28th or he may modify the existing child support order.
