Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My 5 year old sons father has got a ;awyer and court date set to lessen or eliminate his child support and resudual owed. I went to the internal revenue child support enforcement,they said not to worry no need for me to get a lawyer>What do you suggest,I Have secondary progressive M.S was working till buisness closed and was awarded didability from jun 2009. The father has been unemployed for 3 months, had my son one night every 3 months till this lawyer suggested otherwise. My son is in Kindergarden but receives aftercare vat school from the YMCA; I suffer extreme fatigue and difficuly(walker) walking. I di not trust sons father

You have the better end of the case based on what you have provided; however, it is risky to handle this without a lawyer, especially with your physical limitations. I would suggest that you go see a lawyer to protect your rights and those of your son.
Run to the nearest legal aid office as I am sure you qualify and get yourself an attorney. If they can not provide one, make sure you either get one or attend the hearing with all your medical and financial papers in hand.
