Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My 13 year old stepdaughter doesn't want to go to her Mothers because she is not treated fairly when around the Mom. She is called names and allowed to be bullied by her younger sister. While she is there today she wanted to come home and her mother told her she wasn't allowed. We can't go get her because worried about the mother trying to put the Dad who has custody of the two girls in contempt. My question is can this child be forced to be around he rmother when she doesn't want to. It is causing her to go into a depression and also extremely emotional.

Thank you,

Wendy

Until the Court decides otherwise, you need to follow the custody arrangement presently in place.

Dad can pursue a Supplemental Petition For Modification, but the burden of proof is on him, and it is fairly high standard to overcome.

Has a mental health professional determined the child is suffering when staying with mom?
