Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am 16 years old and living in South Florida. My mom and I do not have a good relationship at all. In the past she has hit me and she always threatens to hurt me. She has said numerous times she does not like me and cant wait till I am out of her house, yet she wont let me move 2 counties up to live with my father. My dad and I have always been super close and he is like my best friend. I have lived with him before for two months but I got out of hand... not because my dad doesnt discipline me but because I got into drugs and I didnt listen to ANYBODY. I was sent away to a behavior boarding school for troubled teens and have changed my behaviors hugely. My mom wants me to move into her house but I really want to continue living with my dad. I feel much safer and happier around him, and not to mention he does not drink every day like my mom does. What can I do to legally move to his house without my mom interfering?

You will need to request a change of guardians and custody from the court. If you mother is abusing you then you should call DCF.

Your father would have to file a petition for timeshare modification (change of custody).
