Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Hi. I am 52 years old.. I've been married more than 30 years. My husband has lived I'm Florida over 1 year for work reasons. I live in Texas and have lived here for most of my life. I recently discovered my husband was having an affair. He shortly thereafter started to shut me off bank accounts, stopped paying bills, etc. I don't have more than a high school diploma. I stayed home to raise the kids. I filed for a divorce in Texas and served my husband in Florida. I am now find in out alimony is very tough to get in TX and I could get permanent alimony in Florida which I need. What can I do? Can I dismiss the case in TX and file in FL?

You need to talk to a Texas attorney.
If he lives in FL then yes you can file the case in FL.
Use of a lawyer is recommended.
