Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am 19 years old and my mum wants a better life for me so she wants her friend to adopt me. I was wondering if that is possible and how long is the process?

So long as both of your parents consent to the adoption and the friend is a qualified adult that can happen smoothly. If your father contests, then it can get delayed.
