I have a 9yo grandson from my deceased son. After actively being involved in my grandson's life his mother has decided to withold him from us... do we have any rights?

When a parent dies, there are some rights given to the grandparent. However, I have to tell you that Florida is not actively a participant of giving rights to grandparents. There is a chance you could have some visitation with the child but you will have to file an action in court to do so. If you can, at all possible, bite your lip, crawl through slug, try working with the mother to see this child. Since he is 9 it won't be long before he can stir up a fuss about seeing his grandparents.
