Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My 9yr. old daughter and I have been living at my boyfriend's house in Boca Raton, Fl for over a year and a half. I give him all of my income to contribute to pay for our bills but I'm concerned of what would happen if (God forbids) he dies tomorrow since we're not married, he doesn't have a life insurance or Will, and I have nothing saved of my own since I give everything to him. He has a 4 year old son that lives with my boyfriend's ex-wife and which we have 50% of the time. Since his son is a minor, does that mean that his ex-wife will get everything inside and outside of the house including my things and the money we have been saving in our safe at home?
