Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am a 65 yr old man that was married 24 yrs, divorced in 1994, in my final divorce I was ordered to pay lifetime alimony and carry a $100K life insurance policy on my exwife. I have health issues, documented heart problems and spontantous bleeding issues and have been in the ICU 3 times in the last 6 months. I want to retire as I am physically exhausted and find it harder and harder to work. Can a judge order me to work till I basically drop dead just to pay my exwife? If I leave my job or get laid off I cannot get life insurance anywhere due to my health condition. Please help me with an answer.

I think it's worth a shot to request a reduction in alimony payments. I've seen judges decrease the alimony requirement, your chances of this happening appear strong depending on your ex-wife's current financial situation and given your medical issues.
