Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have a 14 yr old who is starting high in August and my ex husband wants her to go to a school in his county, not the county she already lives in. We share custody. He has bullied my daughter into agreeing to go to the school by him, which i won't be able to get her

to. He works in my county, 5 min from the school in my county that she would attend, but he says he is planning on switching to a closer job site if his boss lets him soon. What can i do to get her to go to the school in the county she has been going to school in already, which is better for me so she can ride a bus from my house? Does she get to choose based on her age? What if she says she is scared to tell her father she doesn't want to go to the school he is telling her she has to go to? He has told her that if she decides to go to the school near her mother, that if that makes him have to pay child support because she lives with me full time, that he will never speak to her again.

This is not her choice.

The Court would likely look at if there is a significant difference in the quality of the schools.

If he insists upon pursuing this, then contest it in court.

If you opt to proceed without the assistance of counsel, be aware that you will not be entitled to a do over if things go badly.

14 year olds do not need to hear that dad will never speak to them again because of a custody support arrangement. I suggest you immediately file a modification of custody, visitation and child support. stop this nonsense. You will be running yourself ragged trying to cope with a person who does not have the best interest of his daughter in mind. contact my office for an appointment if you need assistance.
