Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

About 5yrs ago I got into some trouble with the law and was arrested, I served 6mths and was ROR'ed until sentencing, over the next two years I met the father of my son and got preg. a year after he was born I was sententenced to serve 2yrs in prison for those charges. During the time of me being absent of taking care of my child and the household things quickly spireld out of control and I was contacted by DCF. Make a long story short I signed over a TEMP POA for my mother to take care of my son while I was incarcerated the POA contract stated that upon my release (included the date) that it would becom nol-n-void so to speak. Now I have since rehabilitated myself and want my son back. She is telling me she isn't going to give him back, am I allowed to go to GA and take my son from her being the mother and bring him back to Fl?

Yes, if what you say is correct. If you gave her Power of Attorney for your child, then you certainly can revoke it. File a revocation of power of attorney and file in the county court where your child is residing.
