adult adoption

I am interested in adopting a

Brazilian who is living in the US as a

tourist and would like to remain

here. Is it possible for a US citizen

to adopt an adult from Brazilian and

the Brazilian live with me legally?

We are a gay couple so marriage is

not an option for us for immigration

purposes.

I'm not an immigration lawyer, so you may also want to post this question to the immigration law forum, but adoption of adults is legal in Florida.
