Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
What are my advantages when the other party is in "Default?"
I filed a Petition to Modify Custody. The Respondent was served. After over twenty(20)days Iwas granted a "Default order."I requested a hearing. In the meantime,I've also had to file a "Motion for Contempt,"because the Judge ordered the mother to obey the "Final Paternity Order,"and let me visit with our four(4) children, which she has not done.1.Should I request to "consolidate" the two hearings into one hearing.2.What advantage does a Default by the Respondent give me in the courtroom?I am acting Pro Se.

You should probably seek the assistance of an attorney. Your problem seems to be how to enforce the Court order.
