Take your last three paycheck stubs - show what you are making, ask the court for a modification of support payments. Producing what your income is will help in the deciding of what the court would be able to do to you. The most is sanction you if this is a first time offense or you could serve time in jail for non payment. (Five months 29 days). I suspect the courts are overloaded with the economy so the best guess would be to modify your support payments. I can not see half of the state being held in jail for non-support and that is what is happening with no jobs and loss of income.
