Alimony /child support

i have been to mediation 2 times already to try and work out with my ex husband , a fair monthly paymment , my ex has lowered his payment from $3200 per month to $1800 , he siad he has had a pay cut ,we still can not agree on a payment , i have all his new pay stubs , do i need to take his depositon or go straight to court , do the courts pull is bank statements and pay subs to work out the right amount he should be paying also if we do go to court am i able to to get the right payment per month and also get some attorney fees and the same time thanks lisa

If you ask for attorney's fees, that means you have an attorney that you have been paying. Your attorney will work out the numbers for you and take care of depositions. If you do not have an attorney, you cannot ask for attorney's fees.

If you are representing yourself, you need to come up with what you think is the correct payment (using the statutory guidelines for child support). Your spouse will do the same. Then, the judge can decide what to allow.

Alimony is more complicated because it is not based on a table found in the statutes.
