Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

alimony

I got an divorce from my ex-husband while living in Alabama, then I moved to Florida. Since then my ex-husband has stopped paying alimony. Can I file for contempt of court here in Florida or do i have to go to the courts in Alabama?

I believe the most efficient way to do this is to file where your ex is currently living; that is where his assets are located...correct?
