Alimony
I have been married for 11 years.
And I am about to get my bacherlors
because I helped my husband to get
his degree first. Now that my
husband makes the most money, he
wants to get divorce. I have not
started my career yet. My questions
is can i get alimony?

The general principal is whether he can pay and whether you have the need. Because you will be educated and able to work, and because you had a medium length marriage, you probably wouldn't get permanent alimony. However, I think you can go for bridge the gap (until you have full employment) and maybe even lump sum alimony, especially given the fact that you were not productive while you allowed your husband to get his education. But don't give up anything yet. There is tremendous discretion when it comes to awarding alimony and you can be very creative with arguments in favor of getting an award.
