Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
If an ex gets alimony reduced, because he is going to go part time at work (just to lower the alimony),can I take him back to court when he gets a full time job again and have my alimony reinstated at the original agreement? Also,if I find out he has a second job(and he doesn't tell the Judge the truth) what will happen then??? I helped put him through school, and didn't think of getting a better education because of divorce...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know attorneys that can practice in Hernando County,FL,this is where the divorce took place..Isn't this where we go back to? We both moved I am out of state he is in FL in another county.. Thank you so much fo your time...

He shouldn't be given a reduction in alimony if he is voluntarily limiting his income. Can you prove that it's a voluntary reduction? What County is he living in now?
If he wants a reduction, he will have to file a Supplemental Petition For a Downward Modification of Alimony. Until he does so, I would not worry about it.
If you can show that he isn't disclosing income from a 2nd job, then he would be attempting to commit fraud upon the Court.

An internet inquiry is no substitution for an in-office consultation with an attorney.
If your situation falls within the Greater Tampa Bay area, I would be happy to schedule you for a no obligation half hour office consultation. The main office is in Dunedin, with a satellite location in Tampa.
