Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Am I allowed to take my child out of the country for a vacation without a signature from his father? We live in Florida and want to go to the Caribbean this summer for a vacation and his fathers mother is saying I can't take him.

You can go, if the travel requires a passport for the child then you will need his consent or a court order.
