Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
amending our divorce agreement
My ex and I have been divorced for 11 years. We want to update our divorce agreement. mainly we switched visitation a few years ago but never put it in writing. Neither of us pay child support so thats not an issue. We both agree to make the changes. Is there an amendment form we can file with our original divorce decree. We still want our updated amendment to be enforcable by the court should problems arise. Thank you.

There is no form that exactly meets your needs. The Florida Supreme Court authorized forms can be found online at:

Pay attention to the form number 12.905. While these are not exact, they might be modified to fit your needs. If not, your only choice is to either draft them yourself or retain an attorney who can draft the necessary pleadings for you.

Nope. File for a modification of visitation. There is no amendment. A final judgment is just that.
Of course, if the parties can be amicable about it, then you could just do it. If a wheel falls off you might be back to square one.
