Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Annulment/Divorce

If after I got married, my husband walked out on me. We have never had sex (before marriage or after), never slept together or shared a residence...can I get an annulment or do I have to get a divorce and can I do this myself at the Court House?

Re: Annulment/Divorce

To get an annulment, you'd have to prove some legal impediment to the marriage. For example, you'd have to prove he was already married when you got married, therefore your marriage was not legal. Ignore the other lawyer who said there is no annulment in Florida.

You can do your own divorce. There are forms online that you can download. It's much easier with a lawyer, though. If you qualify for an annulment, you should use a lawyer because there are no forms for annulment.
