Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

How do I apply for sole custody?

When the divorce was finalized last year we ended with joint custody of our child and with my ex due to pay child support. He moved to another country and never made any attempt to see our child. He has not paid one penny in child support and it has been over a year from our divorce. He has an issue with alcohol and I am fed up. I wish to have sole custody of my child and have him start paying child support. How should I proceed? Please help.

You need to apply to the court for a modification of the final judgment. Your husband must be served with papers.
