Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Attorney is not processing critical documents
My son's father quit paying CS for 2 years. I won the court case and am suppose to get his disability check garnished. I was told process of documents would take a month. My attorney still had them on his desk over a month later. I told him this was not acceptable. He was awarded $33,000 in attorney fees. It has been 3 months. I should have $12,000 as a result, which my son's father got instead because the paperwork has yet to be processed. He now refuses to return my calls. This is the same attorney who 10 years ago represented me at the onset. My son's father has not participated in his upbringing and wouldn't know it if he were standing next to him. I have raised him completely by myself. I need the relief so I can spend time with my son, not working during his every waking hour. My situation is getting worse but my attorney has gotten richer. I was let down because my attorney knew all I had been through, including eviction, stating that he was ''on my team''. Team? What Team? The 2007 Miami Dolphins?

Sounds like your attorney is doing about as well as the Dolphins this year, too. Maybe you should try a lawyer in Tampa or Jacksonville, at least they made the playoffs!
If you don't like your old lawyer, go get a new lawyer.
