Baby having mothers last name

Will there be a battle if I, the mother, want my baby when it's born in Oct to have my last name? What if the father and I dispute the issue? Who is likely to win and why?

Re: Baby having mothers last name

Many judges will hyphenate the last name if the father disputes your giving the child your last name and the father files a paternity suit.
