Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Back Child support
My ex-husband left me in April 1996, I was three months pregnant and broke. Several years later when Julian asked about his college fund, I swallowed my pride and finally applied for child support It took Florida 3 years to find him, as he was out of State. At which time precious denied being a father, but of course the paternity proved otherwise and he was ordered in 2005 to start paying $110 a week. BIG DEAL, I know! They did not address back support. The Judge in MA, said none due;Case closed! Florida child support services said they cannot help me. I have provided 8 years of private education to our son, bought a home and traveled the world with him. I think he should have to pay ''something'' for the years he opted to be an absentee. He is now in the midst of another divorce and as luck would have it selling the home he bought the 2nd wife. Please advise. Much thanks!

Re: Back Child support
There is nothing to do if the judge did not order the back child support. Even under Florida law, you can only go back two years and it seems he has been paying for the last two years.
