Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have a biological daughter 26 years old with a different last name and would like to legally change her name and make it known that she is my daughter. What would be involved in this. There is no dispute over paternity and she wants the same as I do.

File the petition for name change and get a fingerprint card from the police department to be attached to it (they must check her records to be sure she is not trying to perpatrate a fraud). If you are wanting to add you name to the birth certificate - then you must adopt her or file a paternity petition .
