Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

The biological father of my 3 year old son is finally giving in and wants to terminate his parental rights. In the state of florida do I have to be married and have my husband adopt him for him to do that or can he just terminate his rights..?

If your bio father wants to terminate his parental rights, then all you need to do is have a Petition filed with his consent. AS to your current or expected future husband , that will be up to him if he wishes to adopt.
