Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
my boyfriend has 2 child a 4yr old and a 3yr old he's payin child support for both children . Back in march the mother ( who resides in miami ) dropped off the oldest to the father ( my boyfriend ) who lives in kissimmee for 2 weeks ONLY she has never came back for the child UNTIL Aug.23rd ( monday) the father has already enrolled his son in VPK is ther anyway to file a abondoment suit or negligance suit agaisnt the mother NOW so that way when she does come back she cant take the child because by tlaw the mother has natural rights over the child if they are not married and they are not .
The mother came with a police escort but the officer said she could not take the child witout a court order ( whicj i found odd 0 but god was workin in our favor that day so please is there anything we can do to keep his son here in kissimmee ??

I'm not sure if the child support is court-ordered. First of all, the Father needs to file a Petition to Establish Paternity, Timesharing, Parental Responsibility, wherein he would request primary for the son that was dropped off to stay with him. After filing same, the Court will decide who would have primary timesharing of the child.
