Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have been with my boyfriend for 6 years now we are engaged and have a two year old daughter. There have been some issues with us latley and dont think its going to be for the greater good to stay. We live together. What are my first steps? What rights do i have to leave with baby to my mothers house?? I just want to make sure i can get sol custody of my child. I dont even care about child support. I work full time and make good money just not as much as he makes will this be held against me in court? So confused please help.

You must petition the court for custody. The best interest of the child prevails.
