Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My boyfriend's brother and sister got taken by the state of Florida several years ago. Now my boyfriend is 18 and we have recently found his brother and sister and we are wanting to take custody of them, but with my boyfriend only being 18 and myself only being 19 would we would be able to with them in Florida and us living in West Virginia?

Probably not. You are very young to take on the responsibilities requ9ired. Being out of state is another problem as well. Support them in other ways and try to be in their lives without custody.

I agree with Mr. Wagner. However, you do not state how old the siblings are. This could make a difference in enabling the family to stay together. He would have to have a solid job with sufficient income to provide for them. He would also have to have a track record of responsibility. Having said this you can see it would be difficult at your ages to do. Staying in touch with them is good advice and knowing where they are is helpful.
