Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

What can we do if I brought my children to their father (who has visitation) to take care of them while I am trying to better myself (was living on the street and going through domestic violence), and then their father went and filed for child abandonment against me? This is not my intent, I wanted them to be in a better surrounding until I could get my things together. Please help me

You can file a suit for custody, but you should see a lawyer first. To be honest, even from your perspective, your case doesn't sound that good.
