Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Calculating Child Support Using Guidelines

2 things- DOR case- parents not married.

Financial statement filed w/court does not show income from under the table work.

Shows liabilies & expenses that are double the income. NCP is married, and shows all liabilities of the maritial household, but only shows his income. Doesn't list all assets either. The statement is fraudulent, but most of all it doesn't make sense. Wouldn't someone need to challenge it?

Re: Calculating Child Support Using Guidelines

If you can prove the under-the-table income--preferably through a private lawyer, not DOR, because they usually can't do it--that income will be added. Liabilities and expenses aren't that expensive in a child support case, just incomes. Neither are assets. Child support is determined by income only.

The income of the other spouse isn't important, because child support is determined off the incomes of the parents only.

It would be good to show the other party is lying, though, since it will call his or her affidavit into question.
