Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Case Dismissed

I went to a visitation case management conference less than a week ago. I am the respondant. The petitioner did not show. Judge asked me about the visitation. I told judge at first it went well but I was doing all the dropping off and picking up. I eventually told petitioner that I felt like I was being put out so I was no longer dropping off and picking up our child. Judge asked if petitioner was paying CS. I told him not for 2 years not counting 8 dollars I received last month.Judge then dismissed case and told me I did not have to allow my child to see petitioner. I received a phone call today from petitioner stating that we had a court date in 2 weeks. I do not see this in the docket. He said we needed to fill out a parenting plan and go to a notary or go to court on the 11th. Is he trying to pull a fast one on me and get me to sign something? Is it possible for a dismissed case to return to court so quickly? I remember the judge telling a case before mine that the soonest he could see them again was in april because the court is booked.

Re: Case Dismissed

Call the judge's office to see if the hearing is scheduled. Judges are pretty forgiving (too forgiving, in my opinion) when people miss court, and they'll often schedule quick "re-do" hearings when the person who missed court calls in and whines about traffic or something.
