Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Change of Custody

My ex wife called me out of the blue one day and said she couldn't handle our 17 year old daughter anymore and when could I come and get her. I went the next day to florida (from Tn) to get my daughter. She gave me a 3 mo temp custody agreement but my daughter is still with me after 8 mo with out new custody agree. Now daughter will be 18 in 6 mo and does not want to return to her mother. My ex has also had child services called on her for beating my daughter. Now the ex is demanding my daughter to return. Emergency injunction has been filed and my atty said daughter will talk with judge. What are the chances that the judge will let my daughter stay with me?

Re: Change of Custody

You have an attorney. That attorney is hopefully far more familiar with the details of your case, how you and your daughter and the mother come across, and also important things such as whether you are in court in TN or FL, and who the judge is and that judge's tendencies than anyone here would be. Talk to your attorney.
