Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am changing jobs and moving from Gainesville, Florida to Orlando, Florida. There is currently an Alimony Income Deduction Order setup with my previous employer through the clerk of court. My ex-wife has agreed to allow me to pay her through the mail instead of setting up a new deduction. How do I go about modifying/canceling the deduction order?

You file a petition in Gainesville to modify the final judgment. Hiring a lawyer to do this for will be money well spent.

I suggest you file a Petition to Modify the Final Judgment. Secondly, if you do allow paying her directly, be sure to keep all records of payment. This is just the type of thing that comes up and the payor lacks proof and the payee laughs all the way to the bank.

You should file a Supplemental Petition to modify the final judgment through the Alachua County court.
