child abuse
isnt corpral punishment gone? arent parents not allowed to mistreat there children? i only ask because the police department declared that marks left on a person i know were not sufficient enough and only due to diciplining the child. I also ask this because this is not the first time the parent has done this to her child.

In Florida, and most jurisdictions, corporal punishment is not banned per se. Whether touching a child is disciplining or abuse is a matter of degree and is very subjective. If you believe there is abuse, please contact the Department of Children and Family Services to start an investigation.
