How do I get my child back?

I gave up my son for adoption in 1997. His father said we were financially unstable. Now I've moved back home, I am in a stable relationship. The family promised to send pictures and tell me how he is once a year. Now they no longer send pictures. I am angered that they lied, and I would like my son back. How do I go about this? Sincerely,a heartbroken birthmother.

Adoptions are generally pretty final if done in a procedurally correct manner. So your chances may not be too good.

You would need to consult with an attorney and give considerably more factual information before doing anything. If you, upon your attorney's advice, choose to go forward, he/she will advise you which court you should file your petition in and what the form of the petition should be.
