right of a child
my b/f got his son feb 19 2007 he is 3 now his mom went to jail for a year and then to drug treatment till jun 8 2008 she hasent seen him for almost a year and has no visitation to him unless finished classes and the judge has to say she can see him but has not tryed to contact us and she has 4 other kids that she lost other then him so i was wondering how do we know if she still has right if she didnt do her classes and if not how do i go by gettin them taken away

Her rights will not be taken away unless she is a danger to the child because the child has a right to have the mother paying child support. Your b/f can file a petition seeking termination of parental rights if he feels she is a danger to the child. Juvenile Dependency court should be able to answer your questions about the current visitation rights, if any, of the mother; your b/f as custodial parent or guardian, will certainly be notified if she is allowed to visit. He could also file a motion in Family Court for child support or seek assistance from the state attorney in this regard.
