Re: Child care expenses

You haven't given us enough information to calculate your child support, but if you do a google search, you can find a number of online Florida child support calculators. You should be able to figure out pretty much how much the child support will be.

Re: Child care expenses

I believe you are asking how much child support you should expect. As long as the child is under 18, the absent parent is obligated to contribute to child care expenses. Much more information would be needed to determine the Mother's child support obligation; but generally speaking, it should come out to about 20% of the absent parent's income.

If you have not done so already, you should retain an attorney and file a petition for child support. Quite often, courts may decline back child support for the time period before the date you file the petition; and there is not much time left that you are entitled to receive child support.

If you have already filed a petition, you should be able to receive back child support, dating back to the date of your Petition. If you have not already filed a Petition, and unless you have a true need for the financial assistance of the Mother, with only a few months left for which you could get child support, you may find the process more frustrating than rewarding at this time.
