I have a step daughter that is 17 and wants to come and live with us. Her mother signed away her perental rights to her mother. Now the mother wants to take her away so we can not see one another. Do we have any options, for her to come live with us

The mother of the child does not have the right to award the custody of the child to the grandmother instead of allowing the father to have the child. The father, as the natural parent, will need to go to court to enforce his rights. Grandparents have no rights in regards to a child unless a court grants them some.
