Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child custody?

so my daughters father is back in jail.

She saw him at Christmas and before

that it was July. I have encouraged

her to have a realationship with his

parents but now we are moving to

Germany. He is court ordered to pay

child support, but doesn't, does he

have any legal rights to try and stop

me from moving? He won't be out of

jail until 6/23 or so and we are

scheduled to leave 6/18, legally should

I be concerned?

Re: child custody?

You should definitely be concerned. Florida law forbids you from moving without his permission (or a judge's), even if he's in jail. If you move without this permission, you could quite possibly lose custody. It happens all the time. Speak with a lawyer before you move.
