Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Child Custody
My former girlfriend has taken our 2 children and moved to another city 4 hours away with a man she met on the Internet. THey will not allow my family or I to have any contact with the children, (phone, email, etc.) and are threatening with a court order to stop us from calling.

Re: Child Custody
I assume from your post that you do not have any court orders in place in regard to custody or visitation. Generally, you may file a paternity action and, assuming you are the father of the children, you may obtain an order permitting visitation. Of course, you also have the option of requesting that you be appointed as the primary (custodial) residential parent. Note that child support will be addressed by the court in the paternity action. Your post raises several other questions. I suggest you consult with an attorney.
Re: Child Custody
If you are the legal parent, you can take action to insist on visitation and regular contact with the children. You will probably have to file in the county of residence of the children; the mother will likely ask for child support. You have experienced one of the common problems resulting from having children without marriage or a stable relationship. The mother is likely to be given custody.
