Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child custody issue

My wife and I live in Jacksonville, Fl and her ex-husband has taken her daughter out of state and refuses to return her. he does have primary custody, however per the divorce decree, she is to have reasonable means of visitation with her daughter every other weekend and 6 weeks during the summer months. is there something we can do to get her returned to the state? we were told that he could not remove her from the state of Florida.

Re: Child custody issue

He is in violation of the court order and Florida law. You should contact law enforcement and see if they will get involved (this is basically kidnapping); if not, file a motion for contempt or enforcement in court.
