Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
child custody
I was married for over 14 years. I have been divorced for about 5. My children are 9 and 12. Dad is remarried and have 2 small children. he plays broke his whole life and is not involved with the children. His new wife is a docter and he has been jobless for about a year. He is an attorney by trade but says he doesn't take a job under 80.000, that tells me he is not desperate for a job so he can pay for his kids.He is a narcisist. I like to leave Florida and cannot afford it here anymore.
Please help, I am desparate. Who has a heart in this country?
Thank you.
Elisabeth

Re: child custody
So let me rephrase your question:
"I haven't helped my kids by ensuring they get the child support they deserve and now I want to take the kids away from their father. Will someone do this for free?"
Instead of asking us whether we have a heart, what will you do when a lawyer says, "The last person I helped for free was a missionary receiving no salary working to feed hungry children in Africa and this missionary's children were kidnapped. Now how can I help you, and why should I?" (I made this up, by the way, but it gives you an idea of the type of things my firm does for free.)
I'm not trying to be mean here, but how will you answer the question?
