Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child custody

My mother has had my daughter for about 10 yrs now, (she pretty much took her.) Now I want to get her back, but she refuses. I can't find an atty to take a pro bono case, so I guess I'm on my own. What type of papers do I have to file to start a case? She DOES NOT have any type of custody whatsoever. Can't I just go get her? I' m doing this on my own, so I would really appreciate any type of advice. Could I use an Emergency pick pu form? Or what type of form should I use? Please help! Don't know where to begin.

Re: child custody

Go to the police for help, use the birth certificate and have identification for both of you. If you don't have this, ask the police for guidance. If your mother has no document giving her the child, the police should help you. If your mother thinks you are unfit, she will have the burden of going to court.
