child well being and custody

i have recently left a physical mental and emotionaly abusive relationship. i have two daughters one of which is my ex's natural daughter. they both see him and he lives in a one bedroom app. with one blow up matress that they all sleep in. my girls are 7 &5 yrs. im not comfortable with this can i do anything legally with this situation?

If there is no court action yet, there is nothing "legally" you can do.

However, since you are not comfortable with this seek some professional advice from a counselor who deals with children and get a read-out from that person. Based on what the counselor/therapist says then you will know where to go with this. The counselor/therapist will want to talk with the children
