Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Child custody rights
My ex-wife and I have been divorce for 3.5 years and have a 6 year old daughter we share 50/50 custody with. I recently began dating a woman that my daughters loves very much. I seriously see marriage down the line with this person. The new woman has 3 grown children of her own and is a very wonderful person. Someone from her past has spread viscious rumors concerning her well being and ability to be around children. My ex is very controlling and since hearing this has forbidden my daughter to be around this woman. There is absolutely no merit to these rumors. My ex-wife has threaten to go back to court and attempt to get full custody, as well as a restraining order to keep this person away from my daughter. When my daughter is around this person it is always with me, she is never left alone with anyone. Can my ex-wife do this without any valid proof?
The ex-wife has also threatened that she would conti ue to fight this in court until I am broke. What are my rights concerning who my child sees under my supervision?

Re: Child custody rights
I doubt a court would be impressed with rumors.
